While I was looking for an apartment, school places for the kids and language classes for everybody, I always had my camera with me and was at the same time on photo-safari, totally mesmerized by these old buildings and the Bologna red.

Bologna is called “the red one”, because it has a history of  red brick wall buildings with  red roofs, every neighborhood had it´s own red, just slightly different from each other. The other reason to call Bologna “the red one” has a political background: it always was a bastion for the Socialists in Italy and still is.
